Polyglutt is a digital bookshelf that provides audio books for use in education. All books are recorded in Swedish, and there is a large number of books with audio in other languages like Arabic, English, Polish, and Somali. There are also books in TAKK and Swedish Sign Language, as well as audio description. New languages are continuously added.
The content in Polyglutt consists of selected high-quality books that are suitable for language development work in education. The content is also suitable for strengthening the mother tongue.
The content varies depending on the subscription plan.
Polyglutt consists of the app with corresponding teacher guides. The guides are provided through the app.
In Polyglutt, you can:
- Listen to over 1800 books, all available in audio!
- Read picture books, chapter books, non-fiction books, and easy-to-read books
- Choose to flip through manually or turn on automatic page turning in the books
- Select from curated books in different themed bookshelves (Animals, Empathy, Facts, Chapter Books, etc.)
- Access books in many other languages from "Language Shelves"
- Easily switch languages within a book
- Search for books by keywords (e.g., "cat"), category, author, language, etc.
- Browse through books in various categories such as "Sports," "Facts," etc.
- Create your own bookshelves
- Share books and bookshelves with students, colleagues, and parents (applies to staff accounts only)
- Easily navigate forward/backward in a book to find a favorite page
- Bookmark pages
- Follow along with the text using text accompaniment in certain books
- Watch TAKK and sign language videos
- Listen to books with audio/visual descriptions
- Save favorite books
- Download books for offline reading
- Easily locate your downloaded books via the menu
